CASD’s Portfolio Prep Program is for students looking to build a professional art portfolio. Many of our students aspire to apply to specialized art high schools, professional design schools, or roles in the art and design industries.
At the end of the program, you will have a creative portfolio that will distinguish your talent and diversity as an artist.
- Artists 7th grade & above are eligible
- All levels are welcome. Advanced instruction is available for those seeking higher level mentorship.
- This program will be monthly
- You may register for as many months as you’d like, depending on how long you need to develop your portfolio
- $350 per month
- We offer a Sibling Discount for 50% off the second student’s tuition

- Up to 4 sessions per week
- Full access to tools and materials for drawing, painting, and clay sculpting
- Hands-on instructor guidance (as much or as little as you wish)
- Kiln firing, if applicable
- Open studio hours
- Portfolio Prep students can come into the studio up to 4x/week
- Bring in your current art pieces; instructors will help you determine what to showcase and how to expand upon it in a timely manner
- You will receive guidance on how to achieve comprehensive breadth and depth on your art portfolio, whether it is for an application, contest or an AP test
- You can spend time with instructors or working independently
We recommend that students have at least a few pieces (any level) and are working toward a certain goal (e.g. for a job, school, contest).
